Which of these one-state combinations would make the most interesting world series?

Out of the mentioned I think a freeway series would be very interesting and also the Windy City Series. They would be interesting because there would be a civil war within the cities, both would be split in half, good for the cities and fans. If they were to meet both The Cubs and Dodgers would win.These World Series are possible depending on what happens in the offseason.

Mets-Yankees is obviously the most likely. Both teams have money to burn this year because they're opening new ballparks next year... and with the deep free agent crop, both teams are sure to improve.

The Yankees would clearly win the series, as they're sure to be the deeper team, especially in the starting rotation with Wang and Chamberlain... very likely followed by CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets. They're likely to grab up Mark Teixeira as well, which will restore their offense to early 2000s levels.

As for the most interesting... I'd probably go with Cubs vs. White Sox... just because I think the emotional intensity of those two going at it would be insane.

I would have to say Cubs-White Sox. There is pure hate between these teams. We have already had a Mets-Yankees in 2000 and that was not that good. If the Cubs and White Sox where to play Chicago would burn after each game.

Definitely the New York teams. Do you know even an estimate of how many New York fans there are out there? I live in the North of Philadelphia and I have to say that there are more Yankees fans than there are Phillies fans up here.
