How much longer are the Giants going to wait?

Why on earth is Sanchez still on this roster. There is no way the Bumgardner or Alderson could do worse than Sanchez. I wouldn't even mind if Pucetas could come up and take his spot. The Giants seem to be in a good spot to make the playoffs (even if it is by the wild card). What is it going to take to get Sabean to realize that Sanchez is not performing like he should? Why don't we just forfeit every fifth game. I am also wondering why Aurilia is still on this team, and why we don't send Ishi back down and see what Bowker can do? At least he hit 10 hrs for us last year, compared to Ishi's 1 (especially since he is just sitting on the bench right now anyway)?

Anyway, Giants fans...your thoughts?

I'm no Giants fan by any stretch but seeing as you asking about Sanchez. I must ask this why is a certain overpaid lefty still being wheeled out every 5th day and from what I can tell his record and ERA are just as bad as Sanchez's. That lefty would be Barry Zito.

I think Brian Sabean is just like us, questioning what the hell is wrong with Sanchez. He looks scared out there and everytime he gets in a jam he either loses his good mechanics and cant find the strike zone or throws lolly pops to hitters. If Noah Lowry wasnt injured we wouldnt see Sanchez in a Giants unifrom right know. We had no other reliable 5th starter other than Sanchez. Bumgardner and Alderson still got another year to go before they hit the big leagues.

Aurilia is still on the team because although he struggles every team needs a veteran on the bench and Aurilia can play 4 positions which allow the Giants to have an extra pitcher on there roster. I couldnt agree more about sending Ishikawa down. The guy hasnt shown any glimpse of hope at all. I question why he is in the big leagues still. One player I hope the Giants get is Adrian Beltre from the Mariners. He could give us 25 homers, which we could use.

Hey, you hold on right there pal...Ishi has 2 HR's now.

    Got that...TWO. Not one.

He's hit half of his career total this year alone. [For those who dont want to do the math, that comes out to 4 career HR's, 2 this year, 2 last year].

He's well on his way to being the 25 HR guy that Sabean promised us...all he has to do is keep up this pace for another 10 years.

You know, as easy as it is to point the finger at all these guys and say they're horrible, I wonder how much blame can be put on Carney Lansford [the hitting coach]. Coming from the Bay Area, I love Carney, but he's there to make sure the guys are hitting and as we can all see, they are not.

As much as I wonder about how long Ishikawa and Burriss and Frandsen and Lewis have left, I wonder more about how much time Carney and Bochy have left.

Maybe it's time to start blaming management.

like the bowker idea, once pablo's arm is healthy enough to play 3rd

however, I like sanchez, and even though he is going through a rough stretch right now, I hope they keep him. there are a few reasons for this.

sanchez is not starter. I have always said this. he does not have the stamina or stuff. it seems like he always blows up in the 4th, 5th, or 6th, not the early innings. his stuff is meant for one or maybe two innings because of how much concentration his pitches require. he needs to be kept fresh to throw his hard breaking slider and his fastball because of its movement. he becomes much easier to read as the game goes on because he has only 2 pitches.

he is working on a nasty changeup. when he gets it right it is one of the best in the game. if he can work on it enough, he'll become a devastating reliever, especially against lefties.

he hasn't been up as long as cain and hasn't perfected his pitching. we expect all players to be like lincecum and be great right away. i think the giants should give him a chance to come out of the bullpen again before they trade him.
