What's the name of the discorder?

I can't remember the name of the disorder that a parent would do harm to a kid when she wants the attention of the kid's father? Please help me if you could because I think one of my husband's friend's ex-girl friend may be doing it to her 2-yr-old. I want to save the boy's life!

Psychological abuse, also referred to as emotional abuse is a form of abuse characterized by a person subjecting or exposing another to behavior that is psychologically harmful. It involves the willful infliction of mental or emotional anguish by threat, humiliation, or other verbal and non-verbal conduct.

    A-Fabricated and induced illness.

In Fabricated and induced illness, a person fakes the symptoms of an illness in another person. This usually involves a parent faking the symptoms of an illness in their child, but in another, more sinister, form of Fabricated and induced illness, the parent will actually inflict harm on their child to support their claims.

    B-Munchausen syndrome.

Munchausen syndrome occurs because of psychological problems in the adult, and is generally an attention-seeking behavior. However, the syndrome can be life-threatening for the child involved because this unusual behavior can escalate to the point of severe physical harm or even death. This syndrome almost always involves a mother abusing her child by seeking unneeded medical attention for him or her.

    C-attention seeking behaviour in adults

Whenever you find someone acting on the extreme side know that he is compensating for something on the other side. Some adults strive for attention and pay any price just to get it. Those attention-seeking adults may do inappropriate things like lying or abusing a child or a pet just to get the attention or they may engage in a more constructive behavior.

Sometimes adult seek attention because of jealousy. When someone finds himself threatened by another person who is drawing all the attention of others he may counter back with attention seeking behavior. Lack of self worth can be another cause for attention seeking behavior, some people think that they are overlooked and so the only solution to restore their balance is to bring back the lost attention. The attention in this case will provide them with reassurance and will act as proof to them that they are worthy.

    constant attention-seeking,

D-Narcissists are also attention seekers, they consider this attention a good source of narcissistic supply, and so they strive to get it. If you ignored a narcissist he will definitely hate you especially if he was hoping for some attention from you. Constant attention seeking, Emotional manipulation. Demands for constant attention. These are poorly understood behavior. The cause is unknown.

Your husband's friend's ex-girl friends need psychological evaluation. You can save the boy's life! Talk to your doctor, he/she will direct you to the right direction before is too late for the boy.

Why would you care what it is called. If you fear someone is harming a child and are serious about this, then call Child Proctective Services. Even if you knew the name of the disorder, what are you going to do with that?
