All of my desktop files/icons on my laptop were highlighted accidentally?

the file names on the desktop are all highlighted, can someone please tell me how to reset them to look normal?

Update:

i left-click and no options there to fix it

    I believe right click on toolbar and see if you can change disktop display.

    just left click on a blank part of the desktop,that should change them back to normal..cheers
