Someone please help me find a safe, affordable hotel (I'm not the queen of England!) near Lexington/Park Avenue or Madison Ave closed to 106th St. Must attend a funeral this weekend. I don't know much how to get around, if I drive then I would need somewhere safe to fit my car or if I chose to take a train, I would need directions OR even perhaps staying somewhere in NJ across the GWBridge needing distance and time to get to 103rd Lexington/Park Avenue by 8am Sat.

Married couple received a call from a female claiming that he may have fathered her child 13 yrs. ago during a one night stand. This was shocking to both! There are many unanswered questions, yet to come..however, female advised alleged father that he would be asked to take paternity test - this was after finding out that the person who thought was the father failed the test. What is the best advise on what would be the couples' best move. (if the DNA verifys that he is the biological father, after all these yrs. He will step up to the plate- but wants no court/custody/drama...doesnt know the mother's intention - after all, she may be a Ghetto Rat. Any advise?

OK, sorry I posted this question a few days ago, and I could certainly use and appreciate any ideas for a Surprise car crazy hubby who will retire early with the buy-out but will officially retired, May 2010. Plan on inviting 150 guests. He owns a beautiful restored 65 GTO, and during the 30 yrs. he loved his job as much as his GTO. On our oter vehicle, the car tag reads "Generous Motors - I Love My Job". He never missed a day, and got along excellent with his co-workers. Any ideas for (food, decorations, games, gift ideas, photos, invitation,phrases/quote, slides, karaoke, music, (not 50's please) etc..ANYTHING on how to "get this party started" would be so appreciated! Must consider cost...Should I invited kids, if so, would it be tacky that they could share some fun for about 1-2 hours, then send them home - or just simply state "parents, please be responsible for your kids" there may be beer, no hard liquor. Just simply clean fun. Thanks again.

OK, its my 17 yr old grandson who got expelled from his senior year for texting in class (4th warning) so he had to go to an alternative school to obtained a GED - which he accomplished and now the ceremony is tonite. I have purchased a money card and would like to write some encouraging words but because of some dissapointment in him not graduating with his senior class, I'm lost for I had bigger expectations but because of his attitude and some of his wrong choices ust left me with a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth. Also, early this yr, while in Vo-Tech school for Nursing, he dropped Nursing and decided he wanted to join the Marines. We suggested to him OK, if its the military then go into the Air Force, but he stated that he needed discipline. (I told him my foot up his azz would give him a taste) He's had a not so good attitude...deep down he is a lovely kid, no worries of drugs/alchohol. He thinks just because he will be 18 this year that he's a grown man and can make his own decisions...yeah, right, does he pay bills, Heck NO. Anyway, I am grateful and happy that he was to achieve his HS education. I will continue to support him, but he lost out in getting a car for graduation..

I purchased this great phone Jan 09 & love it so much because of the solid voice phone, and has excellent reception. I paid enough for the phone but unfortunately I lost my blue tooth! All I have is the headset charging station but need the bluetooth. Does anyone know what sites I can check to purchase a replacement bluetooth that fits on the back of the phone for less? I don't want to buy an expensive one, perhaps something compatible and universal? If I can't find it, then I may need to sell it w/o the bluetooth. Can someone please help asap.

I went to the Dr. 2 mos ago and received a cortisone near my pelvic/hip area due to bursitis. I asked my Dr. if it was being injected into the muscle or under the skin? He stated he doe not give it in the muscle, but I forgot what he named the area (wasn't the skin) but a layer above the muscle. It was only one injection and the pain is gone...almost within a few days....HOWEVER, My friend says that her Dr. gave her the shot into her muscle (for back pain). Who is right? Where is it given so I can sqash this debate.

I purchased a durable black plastic manequin for a friends' daughter for Christmas but I need help in how to decorate it for her. She finally has her own bedroom with a daybed & dresser...My daughter gave her small desktop manequins w/stands in various colors like purple, with white boas, fancy porcelain shoes, black/pink wall pictures of bodies and w/fancy victorian outfits, etc. I suggested- do it like "shabby chic" but I'm lost for ideas to decorate this particular gift. It is not on a stand, it has the neckline and the torso down to half-thigh and it has a hanger hook on the back of the neck (hanging from the wall using a fancy hook) - I had to settle for this one because the cloth manequin was way out of my budget. Any ideas will be appreciated or should I give it to her just plain and allow her to decorate it her way. Thank you.

It will mark the one year anniversary of losing my 37 yr old neice from cancer, on November 4, 2007 and 23 days later on November 27, 2007 my Mother passed away from a broken heart (whom raised my niece). I am lost for a few words to put in our local paper as a rememberance/anniversary. I would like to use both names, (last names are the same) & dates with wording. I'm on a budget, need to keep it short simple. Any suggestions on how to submit are welcomed.

I currently am using PagePlus SE l.0 to make a card that requires to insert a baby photo that I would like it to be oval. I need an easy step by step on how to change a square photo to oval - can someone please help me? I have upgraded htoshop, corel and pageplus psoftwares, but I am getting very frustrated because I cannot get it right. I appreciate your help - this photo is needed asap so that I can complete this card.

I have 2 ficus trees that are 11 yrs old and I usually keep them indoors, except for the summer months. Now that autumn is here and to avoid any drop in temperature, I need to repot each of them and bring them indoors. When I took it out of the pot, there were lots and lots of little roots that have grown in addition to the larger roots. I have it in a bucket of water to get rid of the old soil stuck to them. Before I repot, is it safe to trim just the little roots, or will I shock the plant? What is the best way to repot?

Ok, I know its a baby shower - but I have arranged a surprise for my daughter (expecting first child) given a luncheon for only 50 people (adults) at a fine restaurant. The numbers are firm because of occupancy. Invitations are printed and almost ready to go out but I don't know if I should enclose a note that its for Adults Only? Which would be the best way to word it without offending anyone. Again, I know its a shower...but, I wouldn't mind kids if it was given at my home, but at a restaurant? Kids running around & crying, etc....Or should I just leave it alone and send the invites without this notice?

I am stumped for wording to complete a program that will be handed out during the Unveiling/Marker -Need help ASAP -would like this dedication/wording to be upbeat & inspirational, and not to depress anyone. although the initial shock has worned off, we still mourn in our hearts. This special event will take place on the first day of Autumn, Sept 21, I would like to incorporate the "Celebration of life" with Autumn. (For example: (this is just a writing draft: Today is the first day of Autumn, a season - which brings beautiful foliage and everything seems fresh & crisp....and, people feel closer than probably anytime of the year- today at this celebration of life, here family and friends embrace for this dedciation and is a (final ?) step for us to take a change in .... ???? quote that will cheer her up. ... “Celebrate the happiness that family/friends are always giving, make every day a holiday and celebrate...I am just lost for words, can someone please

My 37 yr. niece passed from cancer, mother passed of broken heart (heart attack) my niece wanted a "celebration", but unable to fullfill because of the passings within 23 days apart on November, 07 (Autumn) our Mother always preached for us to put God in our lives, first.

Ok, this may be a little gross - but I love eggs but won't eat them out.

When I prepared them at home which I love sunny-side up the first thing I do when I crack it - I struggle getting the "hocker" out with the fork, but often times my egg breaks. It is so disgusting trying to cook with that in it. My question, what other type of utensil other than the fork can I used to avoid from breaking the yolk? Sorry, for the term, but this is one of my biggest issues when it comes to working with eggs.
