Info on Ford Crown Victoria?

Anyone offer me more info about the Ford Crown Victoria's, the interceptors especially and then does anyone know of a good supplier for performance parts? Planning on getting one next month a year 2000 or newer and plan to upgrade it also. Thanks for any help you can offer!

They have the same 4.6 liter 2V V-8 that is found in 1996-1998 Mustang GT's. They are great mtors but it is hard to make lots of power out of them without forced induction. I think you could get a Vortec supercharger that would give you lots of additional horsepower/torque on your stock engine. I'd also look into shorty headers and Flowmaster mufflers for more power and a throaty sound.

I think that stock Crown Vic Interceptors have a 3.27 gear ratio with an 8.8 rear end. You may want to upgrade to 3.73 gears for quicker acceleration.

    Hope that helps!

Parts are the same as mustang performance parts for the most part since it's the same drive train.
