  • Tylenol 3 bad to drink with?

Hi! My doctor has put me on Tylenol 3 for my chronic back pain and it is helping, i don't take it always but I just want to know because it said if you drink with it that the effects can be intensified and you could get dizzy or whatever. Anyone ever try this, just having a few beers? Will i get super sick or just become drunk easier? Is it very unhealthy to combine the two?

  • Gears in 87 Mustang 2.3?

Wondering if anyone knows what the common gear ratio is in the rear end of a 87 Mustang with 2.3L and 5-speed. I have one and I'm putting 5.0L in it so I'm just curious, I don't understand the diff tag so if anyone could tell me how to read it. Thanks!

  • 2001 Hyundai Accent tranny swap?

I have an 2001 Hyundai Accent with a automatic in it which recently blew. The car is still low miles and in good shape so i want to fix it and my plan is to put a 5-speed manual in place of the auto. I have worked in a tranny shop before so replacing a tranny is no problem for me but my only question is about the wiring? Do i have to swap out the computer and tranny harness or is their some way to work with that using the 5-speed? Also are the drive shafts the same and if you can think of any other problems I would run into. I know I have to add a clutch pedal and slave cylinder as well as the shifter and shifter linkage. Thanks for any help you can offer!

  • Why do immature people have to run down import owners?

Lately I notice everyone is blaming import owners for the economic crisis and for the big three going broke. My question is why don't these people blame the big three for making inferior, gas guzzling products and forcing everyone to go foreign?

  • labor for these repairs?

My sister inlaw has a 1996 Windstar (yes I know I tried to warn her) anyways she just had the Alternator and hood latch cable replaced and had an oil change done on it and they charged her for 4 hours labor on that, the parts and labor bill was something like $960. They also had to recharge the battery. I'm mechanic myself but I don't know the book times for these repairs but I know if I had done the repairs I could have done all that easy in 1.5 hour or less so i think it is very excessive labor rates. If anyone has the actual book rates from Ford could you let me know. I have already advised her to see a different mechanic in the future. Thanks!

  • Anyone with a Lincoln?

Have been planning on getting Crown Vic or Grand marquis for a while now but now I have been wondering if I shouldn't just get a Lincoln since I like the extra features, I will be buying used a 2000-2004 model and I like the Lincoln LS the most but also the Contenntal is okay. I have heard lots of bad about the LS and I'm just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with these cars? How expensive are the parts, what is the hwy mpg, what are the common problems? I will be using the car for almost nothing but highway driving. Thanks in advance!

  • What would you think if?

What would you think if they banned gas cars? If one day they just tell you you can't drive your old gas car? Do you feel you could enjoy an electric or other alternate energy car as much as a gas powered car? (or maybe more) Please be descriptive what is your view of the future of cars. I'm not bias, meaning no matter what side your on I will give the 10 points to the best argument either way.

  • Swapping in a stick in a Crown Vic?

Will be getting a Crown Vic next month, this will be my 5th I've owned but I always wanted to put a stick shift from a Mustang in one. I know that the tranny will bolt up and I will need to make so mods to the pedals to mount a clutch pedal, cut a hole in the floor for the shifter, modify the cross member. My only question is what about the wiring? The auto has more wires and is somewhat computer controlled so what will happen if some of the wires are left unhooked? Anyone have experience with this? Also the Crown Vic will be year 2000 or newer. Thanks!

  • Do performance chips work?

I just wonder I have never had a performance chip in any vehicle before and have heard good and bad about them. I will be getting a Crown Vic next month and there is a chip available that says it adds 100HP but I find it hard to believe so I wonder if I shouldn't just swap out the cam for a high lift one. The chip is over $500 so I don't want to get it for nothing.

  • What am I doing wrong?

Just a work related question, I work in auto body and auto mechanics. In all my jobs in the past I always show up for work at least 15minutes early and normally leave 15minutes late, I often work through coffee breaks and sometime my lunch break (and don't charge hours for it). I always work hard and do go work and I help my co-worker if ever they need my help with a problem or anything, I loan my tools out and I know I treat everyone good at work and I know I'm good at what I do. Despite this I never seem to get ahead in any job, I don't get raises and my employers don't seem to appreciate my hard work. One place I worked I stayed everyday after work and worked an additional 3 hours for free yet my boss did not raise me and some of my co-workers got mad. I have always been told by my co-workers I'm a hard worker but I see lazy people who hate their job and show up late everyday get ahead and seem better appreciated then me! I'm starting a new job next month and I need some advice! Even my co-workers get confused over this....... Why do bosses prefer lazy people!

  • Info on Ford Crown Victoria?

  • Info about 2003-2004 Crown Vic police interceptor?

Hi! Planning to purchase Crown Victoria next month and since the police interceptor is faster, cheaper and many available in my area with low miles I was thinking to get one instead of regular Crown Vic. I live in Canada but think it is same package in US. I'm mechanic and plan to upgrade the car later as I have money since I would like to use it for weekend drag racing eventually but for now will just be using it to go to work and back. I just wonder does it have a posi rear end in it and what is the gear ratio? Does it get the same gas mileage as a regular Crown Vic? What is the highway gas mileage? If anyone owns one or knows about them could you just point out all the differences for me. Also is the cam the same as stock Crown VIc? Do they have speed governor? I saw a performer chip on one site that said it could add 100HP to an interceptor....I have my doubts anyone know the truth on that? I had a 92 Crown Vic before an know it had a factory performance package but was never sure if it was a police package or not........Thanks in advance and sorry I asked so many questions!

  • Help for lower back pain?

I have extreme back pain that seems to be getting progressively worse. I have been to several doctors and have had X-rays, Bone scan, MRI scans with and without contrast and a EMG test. The EMG shows I have a pinched nerve at L5/S1. All the MRI's and x-rays show everything as normal except L5 has a fracture which I'm told is generic and is not my problem since the bone is still aligned. Also I have a 15 degree curvature in my back which has been there since childhood and has not increased. Physical therapy greatly increases the pain, laying down and sitting down hurt as well as heavy lifting. I do have pain going into my legs and tingling sensation at times but not always. The MRI does not show any slipped disk or growths. The pain is a bit greater on my right side then my left. I did have an accident on a snowmobile when I was younger which hurt my back but that pain went away and then I didn't really have back trouble till 3 or 4 years later when I started working. Sorry this is so long but my doctor says he has no further ideas on what is wrong and wants me to try Physical therapy again but I already spent more then a year in therapy and also tried chiropractor but both make my pain worse. Hope that someone out there could give me some advice or have an idea what is wrong. Thank you in advance for your answers.

  • Medical insurance for living short time in Canada?

Hi! I'm Canadian but I live in Philippines with my wife who is filipino. We are thinking of going in Canada and getting her a visitor's visa for that but the problem is she is pregnant and the Canada medical will not cover her medical expenses in less she is already a landed immigrant. I can't help her to become a landed immigrant yet because I'm disabled and will be awaiting my disability pension application approval after which I can sponsor her. My question is does anyone know of a way to get her medical coverage that would cover her even for the birth of the baby???

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
