Should young people be posting pics on here?

I seem to answer all sorts of questions on all sorts of topics in these Yahoo Q&A forums. But, what strikes me as most odd is that number of young people (boys and girls) that post their photographs online asking others "what do you think of me?". Hey, I guess that's ok, and sometimes I put my own two cents worth in. But you know, on this internet, there are thousands if not tens of thousands of people online that are viewing these pictures that might possibly have other things on their mind.

I really don't think it would take much of a leap of faith to assume that those sexual predators that Dateline NBC is known for catching, might also be trolling this message board in search of their next - victim.

To all the young people out there...those undere age 18. No one really cares if you look good or not and frankly, neither should you. You are still growing and maturing and you can trust me when I say that your middle school and high school friends will not be your friends into adulthood. What those "popular" kids say and do will seem silly to you once you reach your early twenties. In fact, many of those popular kids will be total dorks in their lives when they hit middle age.

No matter what you say there will be hundreds of kids under 18 posting their pics by the end of the night

I agree with you but some people just need that extra compliment to feel good. I don't mind I just hate how people are so nasty sometimes. I think Yahoo is overall safe but it's everyones decision what they post on here.

Well, its really their choice. Maybe they want to look the best they can be, and maybe they wanna get fan mail telling them their hot, maybe that makes them feel better about themselves. But i think its wrong. Hey people have you ever heard of Micheal Jackson?? You shouldnt put pics of you on the internet if you're really scared of weirdos!

It is the persons choice to post pictures.

They take the risk of sexual predators knowing they're out there.

Who cares? It's not like these pervs are going to go over to their house or anything. If they want to think dirty thoughts about their pics, let them. That's the beauty of being able to think, no one has to know what you're thinking. If these kids want to post up pics and set themselves up for dirty comments or whatever else may happen, it's their fault. They should know better.
