Any fans of Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHP)?
It is open enrollment at work and my employer is really pushing the CDHP's. We still have choices of the traditional plans but the premiums are going up and coverage percentage is going down. I'm kind of leaning towards the CDHP, with my health spending account and incentives given through my employer for preventive care, I should have no trouble meeting the $500 deductible if necessary. I'm just wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences with a CDHP that they can share before I jump into uncharted waters.

I love CDHP's.
They require more work on the part of the consumer (hence the name) but they really make a lot of sense. Premiums are cheaper. If you have a $500 deductible before office visit copays kick in, you will be in good shape. Also, before you meet your deductible, if you need to go to the doc, make sure you are in the network. Then you will get the contracted rate for the visit, which is considerably less than the "non-insurance" rate. If something major happens, then the coverage is probably the same as the traditional plans.
