depends on what you're really asking. if you're hosting, i would go totally traditional and roast turkey with all the trimmings. turkey goes a long way so it's easy to do for a large group of people and is a general crowd pleaser. very few people will complain about having turkey for christmas dinner. if you have more questions, email me. good luck!!

If you are having a potluck, that's great. You can be responsible for some of the main stuff and let everyone else bring the rest. If you are hosting a party this size, I'd consult with a caterer. Depending on the time of your party, you can have light fare or dinner. Here are some ideas:
Check out Costco for their deli and seafood trays, larger quantities of things like cheese, crackers, sliced veges etc. and pre-made trays.
Plan a theme for your food and keep it simple. A couple of warming soups, along with artisan breads, cheeses, veges and fruit will be a welcomed change for holiday indulgences.
Make a great hot and/or cold punch
Hot Artichoke dip is great
Spinach Dip in bread bowls is great
Cookies for a cookie sampling and exchange

Mini Beef burgers
Dinner rolls
meatball patties (flattened and fried or grilled)
mayo
lettuce
sliced tomato
cut dinner rolls
put some mayo
place a portion of lettuce
add pattie
top with tomato

canned chicken chunks

boiled & cubed carrots

mix chicken, mayo & carrots

put a spoonful of the mixture
