That is only an illusion. It just seems that it takes longer but in real time, it takes exactly the same number of weeks, days, hours or minutes as required. For instance, most kids could hardly wait for Christmas (I suppose over the excitement of the gifts they hope to get) but wanting tomorrow to be Christmas already is not going to happen. In the meantime, it may seem like they are waiting forever.

Same thing for us adults. I remember the agonizing moments while awaiting word from the company I applied at. Fresh from college, it was my first interview and I badly wanted that job. The 3-day wait was like 3x100 hours. I wished I could pull the clock hands so it would go a lot faster. But 3 days is 3 days and that's still 3x24 hours, no matter how we wanted it to be sooner.

It isn't that way. Sometimes it is, but sometimes it isn't. The fact of the matter is that the more anxious you are to get something, the longer it SEEMS to take, relative to the amount of time you would like to wait.

Depending on the scenario, Its best to have a well prepared hot stove or oven cooked meal than an instant microwave dinner.

Before Jesus began his ministry, God prepared him properly before he was sent with the "good news".

It must be one of the small provisions, you know the "hereunder" and the "whereas" legalese in Murphy's Law, so small we can't read it.

"Section 5(a-6) Whereas the time when we need for bureaucracy to work fast and give us critical service on time, the more the said bureaucracy becomes more diligent in taking coffee breaks."

Not much patience to wait out what we want hence we think it takes much longer than it really is.

maybe that we want it so badly makes it occupy our minds, and that just makes it seem as if time is going slower. It's like waiting for Christmas. If you just stare at the calendar time moves slower.
