Should call austar when I move to disconnect or can I just take the set top boxes and call from my new address?

Call ahead first. When I moved 30 miles I called Verizon to have my service changed over to my new address and I assumed the girl had my file up on her computer.
That was not the case. She closed my account and opened a new one for my new address. When I moved in, neither my set top box nor my remote control worked.
It took two sixty mile trips to return my set top box and then its remote control.
BOTTOM LINE: Talk to a supervisor and be sure she understands all the local compatibility issues; that's why she makes the big bucks.
