my wife feels smothered by people all day?
My wife and I talked over the weekend. How many of you feel smothered? Between two kids and the kids she supervises at her job, she says she’s always got someone hanging on her. She says she has trouble being affectionate with me because she just wants some space. When it comes to sex she gets into it and that kind of passes, but day to day, she really doesn’t want to cuddle, hug and the like. Are there others out there like this?
i try to give her all the room she needs. she meets a gf for workouts every day, and goes out once every week or so for bingo or just to hang out. i am sure she is stressed. i understand really. she says she'll try harder to show me attention. just wasnt sure if this was common.

It's called the grind of everyday life. I think it's normal how your wife is feeling. Believe me, it doesn't last forever. When your kids get old enough to care for themselves and they move out and start their own lives, then things calm down. It's normal how shes feeling. Maybe you need to take her away for a nice weekend just to show her how appreciated she is to the family.

Yes. I can understand why she feels that way. Maybe tell her to go out on the weekends for a few hours alone. Let her do some things alone. Or perhaps you can invite her to dinner some times. Leave the kids with a baby sitter. You should take her out at least once a week.

Well if she's feeling smothered by all these kids...why does she work in an environment with children? Maybe that's a bit much for her. Plus she has two of her own. I don't know...I'm not finding this as much of an excuse to neglect you. I'm hoping there's a real difference in the way she shows affection between children and her husband.

She sounds stressed out big time!! You should do something for her so she can have some alone time to relax, like send her to a spa once a week, or two weeks or just whatever! You said someone is always hanging on her! Its right in front of you, shes stressed out thats why shes acting that way!!
