Don't you have to be legally served?

If it is not court ordered and properly served he does not have to show up, BUT in some states, state agencies may be able to make him start paying child support if he refuses. Some states just have some screwed up laws and assign to much authority to agencies.
He should go if he wants to be a part of his child's life. He should just make sure that it is an accredited lab and that the proper chain of custody is followed.
And tell your brother to stop having sex if he isn't ready for kids.

No you don't have to be legally served, it isn't a court apperance. But if he fails to show up then he will be the father by default and will be ordered to pay child support with or without the results. He may as well go and get it over with. Tell him to take his big boy pill!

why is she telling you? save the email and if your brother is contacted directly by the court then he needs to show up, but an email to you is definately not serving him!!! good luck
