When NHL officials go to training camp, are they taught to make consistently bad calls?

Just wondered, because they obviously don't have a clue. Time after time they make phantom calls, then ignore obvious ones.

I don't think its the refs and I am not saying they don't make bad calls or miss calls but I think it has to do with all the new rules changes in the past few years. These new rule changes are so borderline. I mean how do you expect for a ref to be consistent or make good calls when the rules are being judged in a split second. The new boarding rules are horrible and are going to take out the dump and chase because boarding is being called when it was a good check. So, refs are refs and you just have to hope for the make up call or nonmake upcall-whichever benefits your team.

Blah, blah, blah. The refs suck.

    Imagine this...

The officials, who are actually on the ice and involved with the game saw something that the cameras and/or spectators in the stadium didn't.

Why does everyone feel the need to blast the referees? Most of them would not call the game this way given the choice, they are being instructed to do so by the league. They do their job the way they do because it is mandated by the league. They make mistakes which includes missing calls and making calls that are in fact not penalties. This happens in every sport at every level. Let someone who knows nothing about how you do your job stand over your shoulder and critique your performance.

I think of that's a team by making use of team undertaking. In Atlanta, the gang runs a prospect camp (final week certainly) the place they invite up the youngsters to evaluate their progression and likewise to furnish them a style of what the NHL is like and what's envisioned of them. distinctive the gamers would be invited back to instruction camp the two as a results of fact there is an hazard they're going to make the gang roster, or with greater noticeably-touted potentialities, the gang needs to greater make certain their play and likewise enable the potentialities earnings greater journey against NHL skills. As for diamond interior the tough potentialities, i'm finding forward to seeing Machacek at instruction camp. And the stud Bogosian of direction.

No training...I think they usually just pick random fans of the opposing team out of the crowd and slap a pair of skates on them and tell 'em to have at it!! haha :) They're not all bad...some are horrible :)
