Commuting to the city?

How far would the commute be from New Haven, CT to Manhattan? And are there people who do that on a regular basis?

    That's quite a long commute..

Metro North does go from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan all the way to New Haven, but the train ride is almost 2 hours long.

I'm sure there are people who do it though, because every weekday Metro North runs 5 through trains from New Haven down to Grand Central during the morning rush starting at 5:55AM.

If you are interested in doing the commute, here's the Metro North website, with map, schedule and fare info: http://mta.info/mnr/index.html

My friend, the commute from New Haven to Grand Central on Metro-North's New Haven Line is 72 miles (115 km). the total travel time during rush hour will take between 90 minutes to 2 hours.

    Good luck
