English vocabulary , please answer all questions?
Which of these words have a negative connotation and which ones mean "mischievous in a funny way"?
Scallywag
Scamp
Rascal
Rogue
Scoundrel
Can all these words be used for either a man or a woman? Also, aren´t they a bit old fashioned? How does the expression "you rascal /rogue/scoundrel!" (said to someone who´s done something naughty and amusing) sound? How would you say that in a more "modern" way?

i think they are a bit out dated..
i use 'you silly/cheeky monkey' (to a 5yrs old) or a terror again would suit a kid..
for the adults it would be more vulgar like stop being a d!ck kind of thing
but thats just me

They all have negative connotations and they can all mean mischievous in a funny way:
I went out with those two guys last night.
Oh, you scalawag!
They can be used for either sex, they are old fashioned but I have used rascal and scoundrels particularly when describing the current administration.

Well, in my opinion it is kind of old, but at least we can still find some of the meanings in the dictionary.I think that all sex can use this but do not just blurt it out of your mouth.People will get angry at you.
Of course, you can still use it in essays or something like that but be extra careful on how you use the word.

You should do your own homework.
Besides, most of those words are never used anymore.
