Have you seen the news from Florida?

Aye - that is good news.

Although:

"Everywhere in the law where children are affected, the standard must always be what is in the best interest of the child," said Stemberger, an attorney in Orlando. "What is stunning to me is that when it comes to dealing with gays, that standard goes out the window. Children do better with a mother and a father."

Say's who? All the research says "No effect" - love and security are important, not whether the child has a mother and a father (look at all the single parent homes - do we ban them too?).

Shame it's going to go to appeal... but good news for now.

Well, that's good. There's now no state in the USA that officially bans gay people from adopting (Florida was the only one that specifically had a law against it). Well, Arkansas recently passed a similar law aimed at gay people, but it's only for "unmarried couples".

Imagine that. A judge who actually rules on law. Will wonders never cease?

Florida down, California next!

Great, now they just need to make gay marriage legal here in California again. =/
