Why do Christians ask questions to Atheists...?
... and then award Best Answer to whichever Christian quotes the most bible passages?
Sorry if it sounded like I was whinging, but it seems a bit futile when people ask questions and don't even appear to read the answers.

(Sorry for URL, but not sure about how best to link to questions.)

Because they're not really here to ask questions. They're here to preach their opinions as truth. They phrase them in the form of questions because they know they'll get deleted if they don't.

There would be no reason for a Christian to ask any question of a so called atheist, because the answers would be irrelevant to anything in a believers life.

The main emphasis is proselytize. The person had no interest in the question he formulated. In fairness there are a few Christians that don't do what you stated. Do you see it as a wedge question?

Goes both ways, my friend. I will answer a question posed to Christian (which is the majority of questions on here) and hands down the atheist and/or non-christian with the questioners viewpoint gets BA.
