According to a 2009 report by the american society of civil engineers the U.S. needs to spend 2.2 trillion dollars over five years to get a infrastructure up to par. Of course this report should be taken with a grain of salt seeing as they are probably looking for work themselves but it has become apparent that our roads, bridges, electric grid, sanitation, water infrastructure, railroads, etc. are in need of serious repair.

Do you think an investment of 2.2 trillion over the next five years would be a good investment for the american people?

I'm not getting a lot of answers in the cars section and i know this section is normally more highly trafficked.

The car has 60,000 miles, great condition mechanically and aesthetically, and no history of accidents.

Why do you recommend it or not recommend it?

Would you prefer to take a high speed train over an airplane if the price was the same or would the price have to be lower? Would you still rather go on road trips if high speed rail offered an economical alternative? Would you see this as a responsible use of your tax dollars?

I ask this question in the politics section because many people frequent this section and this has become a political issue the past year because many believe that it can cut down on energy consumption in the United States, which several studies have found to be plausible.

I am interested in biomedical engineering and it seems like a good fall back if i decide against becoming a doctor but I have been told it's more important to prop up your GPA with an easier major for admission to medical school. Nobody has given me a straight answer about this. By the way I'm a junior in high school.

I am not a horrible writer but i could be much better. I feel that my compare/contrast essays and analysis of literature essays are very weak. I am just not good at conveying my ideas effectively.
