I have a question about neurosurgery. Can anyone help me?

I have a project that's due in a couple weeks and part of it involves writing a short paragraph explaining how reading and writing are used in this career field. I already have a general idea but any specific details would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That's like asking how numbers are used in math. They are basic skills that every adult should know. Not your fault, but that's a really stupid assignment.

Neurosurgeons have to read constantly to keep up with advancements in the field. They have to read information about every patient, and write progress notes, consultations, and reports to referring physicians. (They can also read Xrays, CT scans and MRIs, but that probably not what's being asked of you).

Let me reiterate - that is a really stupid assignment. I feel sorry for you.

One of my daughters has a graduate degree in professional and technical writing. She worked for a university department of neurosurgery writing for research grants. She was quite busy in the job.
