yet another backruptcy question?

due to a medical condition and preexisting conditions . I was hung out to dry and with no insurance. and had to have several surgeries and running up approximately $130.000 in medical bills. there's no way I can ever repay this. Whats my options with bankruptcy and keep my house, car, etc. the house is nearly paid off, just bought the car( because I needed something dependable). really the only thing wrong with my credit report is all these medical bills from 3 ddifferenthospitals and various universities(rradiologistsetc)

Depending on your income a chapter 7 may be in your best interest. You only have to repay IF you have the income to do so. Seek the advice of a bankruptcy attorney. Consults are usually FREE.

Of course the home has lost value so that means a lot less equity. Guess value verrrry low.

First, most, if not all, hospitals have programs to assist people who can't pay their bills. You should call the business office of each hospital and see if you can get help.

Second, bankruptcy attorneys virtually all offer the first consultation for free. Make some appointments and talk to people who know the current law. Comparison shop.

there are two things to consider.

as long as you make i thin it is somthing like 27,000 or less ina year you can do a chapt. 7 and you could get out from at all.

also there is some clause that you are allowed to kep 125,000 in equity in your house. i belive that is EVEN if you have made more than 27,000/
