Americans of USA: How many muslims do you know?
Only for statistical purposes, not to judge nobody.
I come from a poll asked by Lets Party minutes ago about liking or diliking muslims, with many many answers. And I noticed that the positive answers come from only european or australian people, just the kind of people that are living together with lots of muslims in their countries.
I don't know how many muslims are currently living in the United States, and the curiosity moves me to ask you if you hate them knowing or not knowing them personally.
Thanks for your report, Aasiq, but my question, as you can guess, goes more for the non-muslim people. You probably have feel there, if not, hate, at less disagreement qith you all.
Scribblo: My excuses. I don't think so. I was linking my question to the results of a poll I've just come to see, as mentioned above. My previous idea ("prejudice" if you want) was the contrary, that people knowing many muslims dislike more than not knowing and I was surprised to get the opposite.

I know a lot of Muslim people (I count about 5 of them as my close personal friends). I am a citizen of the US, but I have spent a lot of time in the Middle East on work, so that probably accounts for the number of Muslims I know.
PS: I don't hate Muslims, I dislike Islam. There is a huge difference between these two positions.

I don't know very many Muslims. I also don't hate ANY Muslims. And it's a really stupid assumption for you to make, thinking I would just because I'm American, or because I'm not acquainted with them. There simply aren't that many of them around where I spend most of my time.
I knew a girl in high school who I think was a Muslim. She was very nice and incredibly smart. I don't really care what god she worshiped. I don't usually ask people.

I don't know why that should surprise you. People tend to fear and hate what they don't understand.
Sorry I jumped on you, but you might consider phrasing your questions a little less loaded next time. Asking, "Do you hate them knowing or not knowing them personally?" is rather like asking, "Do you still beat your wife?"
Polls aren't really very accurate tools for getting information, anyway.

I know like 30 personally who live in America, maybe 100 total. I'm from Maine. I don't hate them, I'm Muslim.

there is not any such element as african american. Your on the fith technology. It would not exists anymore. they're not extra african than i'm. or you will be able to desire to start calling me Scottish human beings. Beside that purely because of the fact all of them look alike would not propose they act alike, it is exceptionally insensitive.
