Is there an "Adopt a Marine" program in 29 Palms California, faith based?

Our Marine can't come home for Christmas and is a little down being so far away (we are in Florida). Is there a program that a church sponsors to at least get him into a Christian home for the holidays?

Update:

He said he gets a 4 day leave and it will cost him about $300 to fly home and rent a car once here. He sends most of whatever money he makes to his family to help them out so he is trying to be conservative with it. He wants to hold off with coming home until he can stay longer. Our family has kind of "taken him in" because of a bad family situation on his part. To the first answerer: not sure if you where being sarcastic or not, but I dont appreciate your answer. Thank you for the information (second answerer), I will ask him about the A flights.

I am sure there is, but if your Marine's supervisor is a decent supervisor, they will invite your Marine over to their place to eat. I remember when I would younger, being invited over to the boss's house, the commander's house and invited everywhere. If I didn't want to be alone, I didn't have to be. Your Marine will just have to be a little brave and be ok with going to the boss's house, if they were invited. Its better than sitting in the barracks, or eating chow hall food.

EDIT: Not sure where you are in Florida, but I am sure there are Space A flights from there to here. It might be too late to get leave and find a flight, but he could fly into MacDill AFB in Tampa, or Tyndal AFB in Panama City, and you could pick him up. And its free.
