My daughter is graduating this year. We just met with her recruiter and he believes she has to have an "official" transcript from the county because of new rules the Navy came out with in August. Does anyone know anything about this? She is already enrolled in college and will have close to an AA when she graduates high school this year. She also scored a 77 on the ASVAB without preparation. She is retaking for a higher grade.

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW, please do not answer. I am just looking for information while I wait for Monday when I will be speaking to the school to enroll her if necessary.

My daughter found a baby turtle, very little, that we think a bird must have dropped in our neighbors yard. We plan to release him after he gets a little bigger. My question is can I just put him in the tank with our fish with those floating docks? Has anyone done this before? His little habitat gets nasty fast so it would be nice to have his water filtered in the fish tank.

My daughter found a baby turtle in my neighbors back yard. It is not even 1 inch in diameter. It looks like a yellow slider. I really believe it must of hatched within a couple of days ago, it just started eating after two days in captivity. Any way of telling if I am right?

I know its all fantasy, but its my guilty pleasure. When Katherine was booked into jail, they took her fingerprints. This would have put the mystery about who she was to rest. I hate it that the writers want us to COMPLETELY check our brains at the proverbial door when we watch this show. What do you think?

Our Marine can't come home for Christmas and is a little down being so far away (we are in Florida). Is there a program that a church sponsors to at least get him into a Christian home for the holidays?

My daughter has taken Pre Algebra, Algebra and now Algebra 2 with Saxon Math. She is still struggling and I don't believe she really "knows" it like I want her to. I thought I would find out what anyone thought of this curriculum.

We have been helping out a young man that recently graduated basic training from Parris Island. He came home for 10 days and now is checking in for Weapons training in NC. After that he goes to 29 Palms California. What can we expect in the way of phone calls and when does he get leave? I am just curious, I don't want to bother his recruiter and his family is even more clueless then we are. He seems a little overwhelmed and doesn't seem to understand the process himself. Can anyone give us info?

We are going up for a friends graduation from Marine Boot Camp on the Wednesday before and staying 2 or 3 nights. Does anyone have a recommendation on a hotel to stay at near there? I heard that Parris Island isn't very nice but to stay near by.

Last night I was discussing this with my father and he said that my planter (which has dirt about a foot high encircling the tree about 18 inches out all way around) will kill my tree eventually. I have seen people around here with these planters before, but is this true? Is so, how do you correctly make a planter? The tree is about 18 years old.

My daughter used a particularly rough curriculum for Algebra this year when compared to the local high schools class (the high school class was so basic it was more like her Pre Algebra Class she took two years ago). I was wondering if I could consider it an "Honors" class and weight it. If so, how do I show this on her transcript?

My husband just put a planter box under an Oak tree in my back yard. It is mostly shaded except for a few hours in the late afternoon when it gets some sunlight mostly on the west side. I want flowers as (colorful as possible) that are relatively easy to care for and if possible will attract butterflies. I do not in any way have a "green thumb," so any and all help would be appreciated.
