Going into the Navy after Home school?

My daughter is graduating this year. We just met with her recruiter and he believes she has to have an "official" transcript from the county because of new rules the Navy came out with in August. Does anyone know anything about this? She is already enrolled in college and will have close to an AA when she graduates high school this year. She also scored a 77 on the ASVAB without preparation. She is retaking for a higher grade.

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW, please do not answer. I am just looking for information while I wait for Monday when I will be speaking to the school to enroll her if necessary.

Update:

Thanks for the answers so far. The reason she is going in now is I am afraid she isn't studious enough to handle 4 years of college then go in. Case in point, she should already have a two year degree but she keeps dragging her feet. Plus, her recruiter said its easier for a HS Senior to get in now than wait, unless she does the nrotc program....which is another option...sigh, this is complicated. Keep the answers coming everyone!

home school's are Tier 2. since she has college credit.. that will be sufficient to get past the restrictions of a Tier 2 school.. as long as they are at least 100 level or higher with a C average and she has at least 15 credits.

she will need to provide her college transcripts on top of whatever certification the county requires.

MIGHT I RECCOMMEND - finish the four year degree - go year around and commission out as an officer?

The Navy is a BLAST. Trust me, I loved it. It was a SCREAM. But, since you are so close to an AA, just finish. Those 24 months (actually 18 if she goes year round) will make a MASSIVE difference in her life.

Think about it: Lieutenant Commander - U.S. NAVY - looks DARNED GOOD on a resume, and all that stands between her and that is a 4 year degree and some military training - massive pay increase, a salute.....not only that you need a college degree to do much of anything in the world anyways, she's so close....might as well finish it now - why not? What advantage is there to not?

I *STRONGLY* reccommend considering the extra work - because the work it would take to do it this way PALES in comparison to the work you do if you're enlisted or the work to try to transfer over. It's not easy to become an officer from within the ranks compared to from the outside.....

*Edit* Recruiters say what they have to in order to make their numbers. It's easier for THEM harder for HER to be enlisted. I might reccommend NROTC then.
