Is this round Ligament pain?
I have a constant pain in my lower left abdomen for 3 days now, and once in a while I get a severe stabbing pain, so bad that it almost makes me drop to my knees. When I don't have the stabbing pains, I have a hard time walking and sleeping. If I lightly rub my left abdomen it is really sensitive to pain. I am 16 weeks pregnant (first timer) and been searching online and this is the only thing I could find, but it doesn't say how long this pain should last or if it is suppose to be a constant painfull pulling sensation. Should it hurt when I touch my abdomen? Is it normal to have ligament pain for 3 days? I am going to see the doctor tonight regardless, just to make sure that my ovary doesn't have a cyst that exploded. I'm hoping someone out there can explain to me that this is what ligament pain is all about. I need the peace of mind.

You might have round ligament pain and also something else. Round ligament pain is usually intermittent. The severe stabbing you are describing is exactly how most people describe round ligament pain. The constant pain and sensitivity to touch is probably something different, but it might be related to the round ligament pain if it is isolated to the same areas where the stabbing occurs.
