Could I join the Marine Reserves and still go to college?

Could they deploy me before I finish, and how much would they cover for my education? (when I graduate high school)

Update:

After I finished college, what would I have to do to switch into the infantry with NROTC as a junior officer?

YOu can definitely go to college while in the reserves of any military branch. The caveat is that you can definitely get deployed before finishing whatever college program you are in. This happened to me. As a reservist, I was deployed right in the middle of graduate school. So a program that usually takes only 3 years took me 5 years to finish because I had to drop my classes for the deployment. The good thing though was that colleges will work with you once you return from deployment to help get you back to where you were before deployment. I got all my old classes back that I had to drop and didn't have to pay for them.

There are veterans education benefits (including but not limited to the GI bill) that help with college expenses, but know that it is possible that not all expenses will be covered. You would need to talk with a recruiter to see what you qualify for. Good luck, and thanks for considering service to your country.

Yes you can, because if you got into a US Marine military college, you could receive great free education, and after your done you would have to serve a number of years in the Marines, probably 3-6.

You would have to complete basic training, 6 months active after that it's up to you to qualify for the program you want. They have several programs that would lead to a commission but if you want ROTC it would be NROTC
