Vista- Need all windows to open maximized?

A friend just upgraded from XP to Vista and has a problem... Many times he launches programs, small windows appear. He wants everything he launches to default to maximized windows which fill the screen.

I've tried helping him by maximizing browser windows, control panel etc then closing them so they'll re-open maximized but within a few minutes of using the computer, something eventually something opens in a small window and closing that resets the default to small windows.

Is there an option somewhere to force everything to open maximized?

Thanks!

i dont know about an option for every program but here it is:

right click on a shortcut for a program, click properties then the 'shortcut' tab. There should be a little scroll box half way down the window giving the option to run as 'normal window', 'minimized' or 'maximised'.

if u just select maximise then OK, that program should run as a maximised window from then on.

    good luck :)

i anticipate you advise your browser window? Open the browser (IE.7/8, Firefox etc.). Drag the window to the appropriate left of your exhibit screen. bypass the mouse pointer/cursor to the bottom good of the browser window. even as the cursor will change right into a double headed arrow ( ?), drag it to the bottom good of your exhibit screen and enable bypass. close the browser. once you open it back, it is going to likely be finished exhibit screen?
