i wrote this poem for my daughters, what do you think?

YOUR DAD

Taking that book of the shelf,

Looking back on life itself.

Remembering when first learned to walk,

And my joy when you learned to talk.

I sit here with a smile thinking its not so bad,

You made me so proud to be your dad.

Showing me there was more to being a man,

Knowing you were looking at me "my biggest fan".

Fearing one day you may trip and fall,

Doing everything to protect you when you were small.

I sit here with a smile thinking its not that bad,

You made me so proud to be your dad.

You grew so fast right before my eyes,

Always loving you even through the lies.

Both of you as precious as some brilliant white pearls,

My days filled with wealth do to my little girls.

I sit her thinking it wasn't that bad,

I am so proud to be your dad.
