Can someone summarize what's going on between the Knicks and Marbury?

I'm reading stories about how he "refused to play" and was suspended. But he has not played a game all season, has he? And if not, why is he getting paid in the first place?

I'm not a real basketball fan, but this is interesting. If someone could give me a clear idea, shorter than writing a book, I'd really appreciate it.

    ok. marbury used to be good, he signed a huge contract worth 22 million or something with the knicks and ever since that signing he sucked. he would always play and when thomas was (the former head coach) got fired he didnt play anymore because the new coach, d'antoni, doesnt want to play him cause he realized hes crap (which was this season) and when d'antoni gave him a playing opportunity because they were short handed after a trade he turned it down. so marbury got suspended by team and is being fined for his actions. lucky for new york hes leaving next year.

    Marbury needs the Knicks to furnish lower back $a million million of the earnings he has no longer yet been paid. He additionally accused the Knicks of enjoying "little ones video games" in refusing his recent buyout furnish.
