when you dream about falling and you hit the ground do you die in real life?

No. Your dream stops when you have no clue what it would be like to experience what happens next.

I have heard that if you die in dreams then you will actually die but this may not be true - no dead person can tell us what their dream was when they died can they?

It is an interesting question - how powerful is imagination and the mind? If you believe that you are dead could you actually die?

Also, I have had a dream where I was shot down, and several other dreams involving my own death and I guess I am still alive or I could not leave you this comment

this is interesting consider the fact that the mind is way more powerful than anyone can imagine when you fall in your dream your mind is most likely to be feeling it as many of us do not know what its like to fall from so far and hit the floor the mind wakes up before making us pretty much jump out of our sleep but if in fact you do hit the floor it is totally logical to say (because of how powerful our mind is) the brain will go into shock now depending how much shock you brain goes into will depend on your death.

No, you don’t die unless if you have a bad heart then I will worry about it. Terror is terror and shock is shock and if you experience it, it might trigger a heart-attack that can lead to death. But just hitting the ground for a good healthy person will not kill you in your dreams that is.

Of course you die in real life - Everyone does. But not usually as a result of, or in the same manner as in, your dream.

Ask yourself this - Was the person who told you this, speaking to you from the afterlife, or just passing on Urban Myths to scare you?

Well, how would anyone know? If the person who had the dream had in fact died, how would they tell us they were having that dream when they died? I've heard that theory as well, but I agree with the 2nd answer.

i dont know because my body never hits the floor. if you are able to hit the floor and die in the dream see if you can wake up and tell me about it.
