Huevo's band of the day?
IMO, one of the most overlooked indie/alternative/whatever bands here in the R&P is Yo La Tengo. Based out of Hoboken, N.J., Ira and Georgia Kaplan have been putting out music under the monkier for over the last 20 years. Highly acclaimed by both critics and fans, hopefully they will not end their run anytime soon as they keep churning out excellent material. Listen to the clips and leave a comment if you like.

Yeah Captain, their material tend to be more on the mellower side. The most upbeat of their albums that I know of is May I Sing With Me?, one of their earlier ones. The first clip here is one of my favorites by them.
Why the hell can't I edit my spelling or grammar when asking questions after I submit the material. Aaargh, it drives me nuts.

Wow, that was really good! It's very calming and relaxing which is probably why I liked it. It's way different then the music I usually listen to and it's a nice little break from the loud, fast metal that I usually listen too. It's good when you just need to mellow out.

I haven't heard any of those songs by them. I have I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One, and I liked some of it, but not enough to explore further.
