Absolutely! Go to the individual chapters websites for FSU and just look. Not only are there black women but chinese, hispanic, fat, skinny- all types of women!

The NPC sororities do not discriminate based on race but there seems to be pressure on the young black women to not consider sororities other than the historically black ones so fewer of them even go through the recruitment process. It's probably the same for white girls; I've never seen a white AKA though I'm sure out there somewhere there is a white member.

I think any woman interested in joining a sorority should keep an open mind and go through the formal recruitment process (also called rush) and just join the one that feels like home. You know it when you find it!

Of course there are. They just generally flock more to sororities that have members of their race. I think that's dumb. I think it's very stupid that people assume that they'll have more in common with someone who happens to share their complexion than someone who doesn't. Not only is that a generalization, but you're also missing out on a lot of good relationships just because they don't "look the right way."

Before you become a Greek study the history and origins of Greek Fraternities and Sororities and then study the Greek people from a conscious African perspective.
