Is there any teenage girl here who HATES Twilight?

Yea, I have a couple of teen girl contacts that despise Twilight.

I hate those books. It is full of so many grammatical errors, the writing is atrocious, and I don't like the main characters.

Edward is essentially a Gary Stu, and Bella is pretty much a Mary Sue who places to much importance on being in love and having sex.

Edward is controlling of Bella to the point of being a tyrant, and Bella eats it up because Edward is "handsome". I don't think Edward is portrayed as handsome.

The writing is awkward, and Meyer is horrible at it. Meyer is also really bad at showing emotion in her writing, and has obviously never heard of "show, don't tell".

In short, I hate Twilight, I hate that every teen girl I know is obsessed with it, and I think Meyer is a horrible corny author.

I also think a seven year old can write better than Meyer.

EDIT: I am a teenage girl, 14, who has read all 4 books *shudder* at the insistence of my brother/friends.

Twilight offers a wonderful fantasy for the teen girls. The unconditional love that Edward gives Bella, and that she reciprocates. Their relationship is everything that every teenage girl still believe exists and they can escape into that world through the book. Of course not all teenage girls are going to love it, but most females period can't help being drawn into the story between those two.

No, yet there is fairly no reason to hate it. I recommend, how immature is that truly?? i'm 35 and love Twilight, the series and the action picture. My mom in her 50s loves it and so did my son, who's 12. Edward Cullen is warm, so who cares if sooo many women love him, you do no longer ought to, yet do no longer knock others for what they like.

I just turned 18, so I'm a teenager, and I abhor Twilight, so so much.

I hate it more and more everyday. It's kind of like a really crappy song that they just won't stop playing on the radio.

I'm 19 and I despise Twilight with everything that I am.

I refuse to take any part in it. For one part, it sounds a bit cliched. Second, I'm not big on hype. If I ever do choose to read it, it'll be in 5 years when nobody cares. I'm just not big into these kind of books.

Plus I get my vampire fix from Lost Boys. :)

I am a 19 year old female, so technically still a teenager...do not like Twilight at all, too tweeny and like you said, corny.
