I need help wiring my new Pioneer stereo to my 03 trailblazer...PLEASE!!!?
I recently tried to hook up my new stereo in my car. Of course the plugs did not match. I then bought a harness adapter to match the unit interface to the one sticking out the hole in my dash. Nothing worked. I did notice that the wires on the different sides of the plug did not match. I finally ran a separate hot and ground and now get power but no audio. Help-Help-Help

You bought the wrong wiring harness.....
Take your stock radio with you to the store ( kragens, walmart ) and compare the jack on the back of the radio with the new wiring harness.
They should look exactly the same.
A GM wiring harness.
This is a real easy fix.
One more thing the colors on either side of the plug will not match.
The wires that you splice together will match.

In order to get audio you will need to figure out which wires on the plug coming from the dash are for the speakers then connect them to the cd players harness, speaker wires in cars are normally color coded, they should be relatively close to the coding on the cd players harness. But before doing that i would recommend finding the right wiring harness to connect the cd player to the vehicle

depending on where you bought the head unit and how long ago look it up and see if the place was offering free installation and have them do it for you. and than tell them they messed it up lol.
