Trolls are attracted to the shiny orange badges and like to report everything. The first time I got the TC badge, I got 10 violations over the first two weeks. This never happened before I had my badge. Most TC don't feel like dealing with it, so they keep their Q&A on private.
Me, I keep everything public. Every now and then, If I suspect something or my contacts tell me that they have been reported a lot lately, I will temporarily put my Q&A on private, but never for too long.

Top Contributors keep their posted content private because of the report-happy trolls. They're the ones who often file "bogus" reports on innocent users and forces Customer Care to hand out an unnecessary amount of violations and suspensions.

No it's because TC's are often targeted and reported by trolls. Trolls will browse all of their Q&A;s and just report them.
Mine are hidden because I was TC a long time ago in the Playstation category but I quit YA for a while so I lost status.
