Ipod Touch audio problem?

My recently bought Ipod touch has a problem with audio output, that is with all my headphones, unless the jack is held in by hand in a fixed position, there isn't a good contact (crackling noises, no noise in one earphone etc). What should I do?

For some reason this problem happens with every mp3 player I have bought..

    take it to the apple store. they should replace it on the spot
