Get some iodine and put on the spots. It is a fungus and usually easy to treat. My father-in-law has a rat terrier that had it, but hers was bad enough that the had to be on an anti-fungul for a week. It cleared up within the week. You will need to wash everything as it is contagious.

If it is ringworm it will show as an round area (sometimes with a tail off it) and the hair will break off in that circle.. Ringworm is fluorescent under a black light (disco lights that turn white a glowing blue!) and if it is ringworm the vet will prescribe an anti-fungal cream - Ringworm is actually only a fungus and is not a living worm like creature.

I have found that Tea-tree (Melaleuca Oil) oil is very effective on ringworm as it is anti-fungal antibacterial and because it is an oil it is also not too drying on the skin.. To apply the tea-tree oil do not use the 100% concentrate use the 15% dilute mix you can buy at the shops and apply it sparingly 3 times a day to the area with a cotton ball/wipe. Tea tree is also good for hot spots on dogs as the cream they often prescribe makes the hot spot weepy and lasts a lot longer.

I am not sure when it stops being contagious but wash you hands often and wash all of the dogs bedding with a splash of the oil in the wash and that will help get rid of it quickly.. The Tea tree Oil works well on people in treating ringworm as well and is very effective for Tinea/Athletes foot.

Ring worm is hard to get rid of. I havent heard of a home remedy that actually works. You need to go to the vet and get a big tube of medication to get rid of it. If you dont, it can and will spread to you and it can become very contagious to other people and pets.

lamasil AT-very specific, no substitutions recommended by my vet to use it on my cat when she got it, and it cleared up with no issues. She had large patches of it on her ears, head, legs, and all around her neck. I had to wash the area first with water and a wash cloth, then apply the cream. Took about 3 months to fully heal and for the hair to grow back. lamasil AT's not that cheap either. compare it to the price of what the vet is prescribing.

Take the dogs to the vet! Make your dog take his kitten to the vet too! That is terrible. I don't know aof any "home remedies" for worms!

Any of these creams will work . and you can find them in any drug store and you can also ask the pharmacists they will know which ones also !

clotrimazole, Lotrimin , these too of hand for sure , it will say ringworm right on the back of box where it has uses listed .

Topical treatment: When fungus affects the skin of the body or the groin, many antifungal creams can clear the condition in two weeks or so. Examples of such preparations include those that contain clotrimazole (Cruex cream, Desenex cream, Lotrimin cream, lotion, and solution), miconazole (Monistat-Derm cream), ketoconazole (Nizoral cream); and terbinafine (Lamisil cream and solution). These treatments are effective for many cases of foot fungus as well.
