    93 million miles = 149668620 km

    Light travels at 300,000km per second

    Time = distance/speed

    = 149668620/300000

    = 499 seconds (3sf)

    = 8 minutes 19 seconds (approx.)

    The earth and the solar are approximately ninety 3 million miles aside. So divide by ability of the cost of light, 186,3 hundred, and the divide by ability of minutes interior the hour, 60, to get approximately 8 minutes, 20 seconds.

    light travels at 300,000km/s

    which means it travels 300,00km x 60 in one minute

    = 18,000,000 km / min

    the sun is around 150,000,000 km away

    so, 150,000,000 / 18, 000,000 = 8.3

    therefore the sun is 8.3 light minutes away

    and therefore light takes 8.3 minutes to reach earth

    (93000000x1600)/(3x10^8)=496seconds.
