If your mucus plug falls into the toilet, can it make a loud plop/splash?

After peeing and while starting to clean up, I heard a loud plop and splash. When I looked there was a large white glop at the bottom of the toilet. Could this have been my mucus plug?

Update:

I'm half way through week 38 and as of last Wednesday dilated 1-2 but when it comes to effacement, my doctor just says I'm thinning.

There was CM on the toilet paper, but no more than there has been the last week or so and it wasn't discolored.

    Mucus Plug In Toilet

Well I think your baby is going to be in your arms soon!!!

I don't think your mucus plug is supposed to make a loud plop/splash but maybe yours did and a lot of women had that too. So Good Luck With Your Baby!

No that isn't the mucous plug. The mucous plug looks like a brown scabby discharge. It is also called the bloody show because it looks like a blood clot almost. Any discharge that is white isn't the plug and you'll only lose the plug once right before birth.

Yes. Sounds like your mucus plug. It's exciting to lose but doesn't always mean labor is hours away - labor can be anywhere from hours to up to 4 weeks. I lost mine at 35 weeks and I'm 38 weeks now - 1cm dilated and 90% effaced.

yes more than likely it was your mucous plug. this happened to me too, but mine didn't make a loud splash i just looked and it was in the toilet.

Definitley could be. I'd say make sure your bags are packed, and definitley let your doctor know at next weeks check up! You can lose it all at once or in peices so if you start seeing little peices of that here and there just know that it is normal. Best of luck to you and congratulations.

Well mine came out over a few days when i wiped. That was a few days before i went into labour. Yours may have come out all at once so you may hold your little one very soon!
