Bartending courses in Mass.?

I am thinking of becoming a bartender. I'm 21, and at the prime age to do so. I was wondering what any of you think, or if you have any experience with the following online bartending courses:

https://secure2.360training.com/vu3/index.cfm?even...

https://www.bartending101.com/bartender-certificat...

Furthermore, would these courses improve my ability to bartend and/or get hired at nicer, higher paying bars? Or are these things that you get purely from experience? What do you bartenders think about the bartending position?

i think you need first hand experience either by doing or a school that teaches you and they teach you first hand

You need to go and learn at some small bar to learn your craft first.

You need to able to move quickly, and be able to make drinks quickly, and a small bar will allow you to do this.

Once you are good, then you can try and get a job at a higher end bar or nightclub.

Those classes just teach then fundamentals, and how to make simple drinks. You could learn more, if you got a book, and got a job as barback.

Barbacks work as the bartender's assistant.

    Good luck, hope this helps.
