She wears a fire-suit for a reason, It is not a fashion statement.

She does the Official timing and scoring for the team. Since she is actually on top of the pit box and a team member. She is required to wear a team uniform, just like the crew chief and all the rest of the crew in the pits.

Most wives don't have an Official capacity in the pits. Once the race starts they go back to the motorhome to watch on TV.

You can look at their NASCAR credentials also. Delana is also the listed owner of Kevin's Nationwide and Truck series teams.

I think it's great.They seem like they really love each other.If I wasn't already married i'd like to be wearing a Tony Stewart drivers suit next to him at each race.

She's not just bells and whistles out there. She owns a Craftsman truck team and shares ownership on a Nationwide car too.

I don't mind the firesuit so much but I really think it's disrespectful when she wears her hat during the National Anthem.

She is a team member, not just a driver's wife that sits in the RV. I'm glad he found a woman that's as interested in what he's doing as he is.

In one way, I think it's sweet. In another way, though, it 's kind of like a policeman's wife wearing his uniform when she isn't an officer herself. I don't think the other "real" officers would appreciate it.

But it is cool that she's so supportive of Kevin.
