teeth and gum pain radiating from my teeth, gums and so much pain?

I broke half my tooth off and the dentist put a needle into the upper side of the month to numb the area and put a temporary in while we wait for my insurance to decide what to pay on the replacement

I can still feel the area of where the needle went inside the roof of my mouth, feels like all my gums are infected along with my teeth

I am using orajel to numb the pain until I can get to see the dentist again, anyone with a home remedy to help ease the pain and burning, please help, what could this be from, I notice that the jel only works for like a few minutes and the stuff makes me feel sick and the whole side of my face is is great pain up and into my ear and then a horrible headache, could it be the exposed metal of black filling that is showing below the other tooth work in the pass or what about a dry socket , thanks

For real, you have a major infection of your gums.Call your dentist.

You have a bad infection most likely coming from a tooth that is spreading into the surrounding tissues. You need to be on antibiotics asap because this can even swell your eye shut. Then the dentist will determine what to do with the infected tooth like extracting it or doing a root canal on it. Good luck

This is one of those times where you have to bite the bullet.

But no its not a dry socket, there are nerve endings in the interior of your tooth and when they get exposed they go crazy. Chances are the nerve will recede out of your tooth over the next 3 months giving you that brownish "dead" look. This can be fixed by your dentist.

As for now... Hang on tight.
