Is there a study guide for nyc mta conductor exam # 8094?
Is there anything to study or is it common sense questions that one should know just traveling on the subway everyday?
I'm taking the exam this weekend and need to know whether to buy the book or try to find something online that I can print out.
Please help me..
Thank You!

there is a book you can get from the civil service book store in manhattan..they sell most books for civil service exams..my fiance works for the MTA already and got it for me to study for the exam..it was $20..they say itll be 60-100 multiple choice questions.theres alot of stuff in there though..its a good 100 pages or more of practice exams on things you need to know to be a conductor...im studying the wholllllle book...you never know what will be on the test.my fiance says they are hiring 100 ppl from the test with the highest scores off the bat..so its important to score high to be on the top..other people that already work for the mta that will be taking the test will have "seinority" so theyll be considered first..also ppl in the military will automatically get a extra 5 points added onto their test.. so its verrry important to score high...i wouldve gotten a book awhile ago if i was you..i got mine 2 months ago..theres alot of stuff in there..but you still have some time..so go get one and CRAM!!! good luck!!

A- Completely stop
B- Proceed with caution
C- Continue with speed, because the bus is on the opposite side
D- Pull over and wait for the bus to continue
4 “If your bus is parked at the top of a hill facing downward, you set your emergency brake and”
A- Turn your wheels away from the curb

D- Never park your bus on a hill facing downward
5 “How many feet are you allowed to park a bus away from a curb?”
A-1 foot

You might find some information here also:
http://nyctransitforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.ph... Its a nice site about NYC transit, and that's the transit career forum where you could find helpful info from other conductors/train operators/bus operators/or just other members
