Why must MVP only go to one player?
I know in the past there has been co-MVP's but why can an entire squad not get it. The Steeler Defense has won that team almost all there games. Look at yesterday what they did to the Pats. Even when the offense is almost a no show that defense wins games
Also the Giants Offensive line. No matter if they run or pass this team has made them what they are. Slow drives make it easier on the defense to stay healthy and hungry. This team would not be here without these front monsters.
These people are the MVP's in my opinion.
And in a sport that is the ultimate TEAM GAME
it's funny we focus on an individual more than a group.
It's insulting to what they have accomplished
What do you think?
I understand that it is most valuable player but how can they make it co-MVP's then. Add an S to the award and it fits perfectly

I think it's a good idea. I agree with the Giants offensive line. They can allow Jacobs to run amazingly, and when he can't run, they protect Eli enough to pass amazingly.

The MVP- Most Valuable Player is awarded based on a lot of different definitions, but it is ALWAYS an individual award an is always subjective. It is voted on by the Associated Press, obviously there can be bias.
Whenever there are co-MVPs, they have always come from different teams. Teams, or in this case defenses which are better than the rest are acknowledged as such but they cannot win a most valuable player award.
If an entire defense is as dominant as this team has been and continues to be for more than a season, usually they will be given the honor of a great nickname. A great defense is the key to a great team, but the MVP award looks for individual contribution. If an entire defense is excelling, than no player stands out. Hence it is usually a Quarterback or Running back who wins this award. Is it fair? No, there are plenty of lineman who work harder but they don't get the credit either.
The Defense will also get there due if they win the Superbowl, think the Ravens of recent history.

Its called winning the superbowl. I understand what u are saying about the Steelers D but if they won that award and didn't win the big game then what??
I think they should stick to giving it to individuals and let the TEAM play for the big game.
That is the reason why they play right?

because the mvp is the most valuble player not the most valuble squad
it is suppose to be recagnized to one player for his amazing contributions and the most valuble player to the whole team
but that is a good question i think their should be an award for a whole team like the pitsberg steeler defense

Maybe when they come up with a MVD (Most Valuable Defense) award, the Steelers will get it.
