Wedding in the snow..?
We're going to a place in Northern California for our wedding and we're planning to have the ceremony in the snow at a cabin resort place. Anyone know what kind of dress will be elegant looking, but won't make me freeze?

That will be so pretty! My advice is pick any gown you like but then get a lovely cape to go over it. A cape works well because you can simply sweep it back to reveal your dress anytime. I would also get some leggings of some kind to wear under yours dress and these can be slipped off before you enter the party. Another cute idea would be to get white Uggs for the outside part and them some chic shoes for later. Have fun!

I don't know. You might need to just wear something made of wool or wear long underwear beneath your dress and snow boots. Snow pants might be a good idea too. You'll also probably want a fur cape. I hope it's a small wedding party, though, cuz you're going to be torturing your guests.

You could do a Kate Hudson! Wear a beautiful gown, whatever style, and wear a full length white fur coat! Gorgeous in the snow! Or, get a beautiful strapless gown and have them sew on full length lace sleeves-they look amazing! Or a fur wrap would be beautiful too! White fur with a wedding dress in the snow is absolutely beautiful in my opinion.

I got married in the winter and I wore a strapless dress as I would have in the summer but I had a cloak thing that I wore over when I was outside.

I love the idea of a long sleeved wedding gown--so different from the zillion strapless gowns everyone wears now.

Just go with your dream dress and then get a fur or fake fur shaw to cover your shoulders and part of your arms... that would look great with the cabin, snow and dress.

I would go with a thicker material for the gown and a fur wrap. It will look beautiful!

While this idea sounds beautiful and romantic, have you thought about what your guests would feel about sitting outside in the cold? I don't think most people would appreciate that.

wow. seriously? uhh...there isn't a "wedding dress" that you could be warm in in the snow. you could just wear layers under it and your top would freeze.
