Are all the Disney World parks connected?
I was wondering if Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Magical Kingdom, and Disney World are all connected. I'm going for the first time this Christmas, and I want to go to all of them. Thanks for your answers in advance!!

I'm not quite sure what you meant by "Connected"??
Disney World usually refers to the WHOLE COMPLEX down there in Florida... which consists of the 4-Main Parks (The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and The Animal Kingdom)... plus there are two water parks and many different resorts. And, there's also the downtown Disney shopping area and also "Pleasure Island" which is the place for some "nightlife"...
So, anyway, the 4-Main Parks are all "inside" of the area that is called "Disney World", but they are not actually connected to one another... If you stay at one of the Disney Resorts located inside the "Disney World" complex, then you usually take a bus to get to each of the various parks. The parks ARE NOT within walking distance of one another... although, you might be able to walk from the Disney's Hollywood Studios park over to Epcot, but even that is a fairly long walk...
If you want to be able to see all four parks... you will need AT LEAST four days and really a week or more would be better. It would be a good idea to get "ParkHopper" tickets... because those allow you to leave a park whenever you want and go over to a different one all in the same day!!

Technically, the parks are all connected in some way, but not always direct. You can hop on the Magic Kingdom monorail to get to this one ticket selling station right near the Polynesian property, then you just get off and switch to the Epcot one. Busing from your resort to the other parks is possible but if you just miss the bus to say, Animal Kingdom, it could be another 15 - 20 minute wait until the next bus arrives. Different resorts also offer other ways to get to the parks. I believe the Boardwalk is right next to Epcot, so it's within waking distance. Saratoga Springs offers boats over to Downtown Disney also. If you are staying off the Disney property or are using a rental car, that's even better! Waiting for the buses to Animal Kingdom and MGM...I mean Hollywood Studios...can be a pain sometimes, but still worth it.
Good luck in your travels and I hope you have a great time!

It depends on what you mean by connected. None of the parks are next to each other but disney world has free transportation between the different disney parks as well as disney resorts and other disney properties (downtown disney, Water parks, etc.) and they vary from buses to boats to monorails. there are two parks that are semi connected...
Magic Kingdom and Epcot have a dedicated monorail that will take up from the Ticket and Transportation Center (MK Parking lot) to Epcot. although not close, it is one of the fastest way to travel.
Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios are the only two disney parks that you can actually walk between. its a bit of a walk and time will vary on how fast or slow you walk but it can be done. and its usually faster than taking the boat. however, i enjoy the slow boat ride. its a nice break in the day.
Last, i love the parks and know them very well. if i have any advice is that you dress for success. make sure you will be wearing the right clothes for the weather. shoes have to be comfortable and don't use this time to break in new shoes. they will just give you blisters. and last, if you are at Epcot, they have great Snow Cones in Japan called Kaki Gori. and great funnel cakes at the Magic Kingdom at Sleepy hollow. its just over the bridge on your way towards the Hall of Presidents.

Disney World is very spread out. They are not connected and definitely not within a reasonable walking distance of each other.
However, Disney does provide free transportation that can take you from Park to Park or from one of the Resorts to a Park. Most of the time this will be by Bus. However, depending on where you are and are going to you may be able to take a Monorail or Ferry instead.
For Example: If you are using Disney Transportation the only way to get to Animal Kingdom is by Bus regardless of where you are coming from. However, if you are at EPCOT and want to get to the Magic Kingdom you have the choice of a Bus or Monorails.
If you are staying On-Property you should pick up a Transportation Guide(if they don't give you one). This will list all of your options to get around the resort.

One thing that should be noted about the bus transportation is that they don't connect the 4 parks. You would have to take a bus to a resort and then from the resort to the park you want to go to.
This isn't an issue (we did it on our trip) and you can ask any bus driver what the quickest way to do this transfer is. For instance, if you're at EPCOT and want to go to MGM, getting on the Animal Kingdom bus doesn't make as much sense as getting on the Carribbean Beach bus.
Also, the monorail resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian) do NOT have bus service to the Magic Kingdom. You can only take the monorail or walk to get to the Magic Kingdom or back.

At specific spots in WDW there is. I easily have been 6 circumstances to disney, going decrease back in september! besides there are somewhat "wireless" Spots in WDW. Now relies upon on what you have yet while its on your ipod i strongly advise "Magic instruction manual". Its somewhat easily worth the money. you do no longer decide for wifi for it, only the wait circumstances. (Any era) The App gains: Maps - Of parks. (No Wifi mandatory). eating- you will detect foodstuff places with the aid of out the park (without wifi), you could keep your eating time table with you (additionally no wifi mandatory). Wait circumstances- this would inform you all wait circumstances of the rides. (it is the only one that desires wifi). Park Hours- this would inform you the park hours from Now-2012. So while your going you could understand which park hours are which, additionally tells you EMH (extra desirable Magic Hours). (No wifi mandatory) close to Me- while your in WDW it is going to tutor you the place your at, and whats close to you. No Wifi mandatory. i'm hoping this became into powerful to you! Oh I forgot. Heres a tip, on your inn room (in the adventure that your staying in one day) once you arise in the morning bypass on the app and examine the wait circumstances! So your arranged for what to bypass to first. get exhilaration from your holiday!
