Who verifies that the President is a natural-born citizen?

I have heard so many rumors and please don't come on here and tell me to "get over it." I care about what the Constitution says but, please clarify if you can, exactly what it means to be "naturalized" vs. natural-born.

The Federal Election Commission has the job of vetting candidates as does the party and you can bet your a** that it is extremely thorough.

The constitution actually says: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...." Even if Obama was born overseas he'd still be a 'citizen of the U.S.' and there for still able to be president. Constitutional scholars study all the writings of our founding father to determine the meanings of murky phrases.

A natural born citizen, means a US Citizen at the time of birth that has never renounced their Citizenship; even if born abroad under the right conditions (for Obama it would be his mother would have needed to be living in the US a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen which she did not meet) . The State Department handles such verification, and no it is not as tough as one might think.

Naturalized means someone who was not born a citizen, but later became one.

Natural-born means someone who was a citizen at the moment of their birth. This includes anyone born in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and territories with an Organic Act (Puerto Rico, USVI, Guam), as well as the children of US citizens born abroad.

All of the people who claim that Obama was born overseas neglect to mention that even it it were true, there's no doubt that his mother was born in the US, and that makes him a US citizen from birth, no matter where he's born.

There are people who say that only people born in the US can be president. Note that they can't back up what they say -- that's because it's an urban legend. Read the constitution and you'll see.

Natural born is when you are born in the borders of the United States or its territories. Naturalized means you were a foreigner who became an American later on.

Basically, the constitution requires you be born in the USA to be president.

Apparently not either of the two major parties or else they would have required B.O. to produce an authentic birth certificate instead of the forgery of his certificate of live birth. Just goes to show you what kind of change B.O. wants to bring us.

Naturalized means say if I'm an immigrant and I become a U.S. citizen. Then I'm naturalized.

Natural-born means I am either born on U.S. soil to one or two U.S. citizens or am born overseas (military/diplomatic) to two U.S. citizens. That is how the courts have defined natural-born.

Since B.O. was born in Kenya, as is substantiated by his Kenyan relatives, he is a foreigner and therefore it is unconstitutional that he be sworn in as President. However, the owners of the Federal Reserve want him in office and the American people are too weak to understand much of anything or stand up for the Constitution at this point in time.

This is simple enough: naturalized is when we refer to an immigrant who has succeeded in getting his citizenship. Natural-born refers to anyone born in the country of origin. IE if you were born in the US, this makes you a US citizen.

If you were born in Kenya, this disqualifies you from being the president of the United States.

A natural born citizen has at least one parent who was a citizen at the time of their birth.

No one!! Isn't that RIDICULOUS?!?! Apparently, only family members or those with need to know can pull BCs. I think the American public NEEDS TO KNOW....but why the coverup?!? I don't get it. Well....I have my suspicions.

In Obama's case - nobody checked any of his credentials to be either a senator or president. It's only one little document. The citizens have a right to know why it is sealed and unavailable.
