My weight loss has stopped...HELP!?

I've lost 30 lbs since August under Dr supervised weight loss. I cut out all drinks except water, I cut out all junk food (cookies, cakes, chips, etc.). I started making healthier choices like side salad instead of fries and fruit and oatmeal for breakfast rather than sausage eggs and cheese. I also do 30-45 minutes of cardio 3-4 days a week. But it seems now that I'm not losing weight anymore. What can I do to keep it going? I want to lose about 30 more lbs.

Peoples bodies tend to plateau a lot, once your body gets used to one thing it stops burning as many calories and keeps you even so you don't burn to many, especially after losing 30 pounds. Congrats on that by the way. You need to change up your exercise. Try strength training for a week, then back to cardio, yoga, back to cardio, strength training, swimming, kick boxing, etc. Keep you body guessing and the pounds should continue to keep coming off.

If you have already cut you caloric intake down to 1200-1500 calories, then you should be good there. If not, try cutting back to that point. Now, if you are breast feeding, try not to cut back too much, at least till you stop.

You may want to detoxify your body if you have not. There is a lot on the market now that are not diet pills but they help cleanse your system.

    Good luck! And keep going!

congratulations on the 30lbs you lost so far.

To me, it seems like you have done the best you can with your "original" plan. So now you have to implement a "new" plan. Plan B. Plan B will require more diligence and work. If you want it bad enough you will do it. If you don't, well, you won't do it.

Without knowing your bodyweight, do this: Multiply your current bodyweight by 12. THAT is how many calories you should be eating each day? How do you stack up? of THAT amount of calories, make sure its HIGH protein MODERATE fats and LOW carbs. 4-5 meals per day.

Increase your cardio to 7 days per week. if fat loss stalls, up your sessions by 10 mins. do that until fat loss stalls. Add another 10 mins. etc etc (always give yourself a week or two before determining if you have stalled). Never go above 60mins per cardio session. if YOU have to do more than 60mins per day, then add a second session of cardio per day. i.e. 60mins in the P.M. and 10 mins in the A.M. then progressively add to the a.m. sesssion as things stall. i doubt you need that much cardio. NEVER do too much too soon. always use progression in the manner i described above.

start lifting weight! 3x per week. 30-45 mins per session.

    good luck!

You probably reached a good healthy limit for your body..i dont really know how much you way, maybe you still way more then you should..but if your at a healthy weight just continue what your doing and dont worry bout it...but if your still over weight just lower the amount of food you eat in a day and up your work out routine...like maybe do it 5-6 days a week for 45- an hr

Try increasing your cardio. Add in an extra hour into your week. Like an extra 30 minutes 2x a week.

I've lost 130 pounds in about 8 months by exercising every day and eating 1200 calories per day. I aim to burn about 300 calories a day. Also adding in some strength training will boost your metabolism.

The key for losing weight is not difficult - eat less and move more often - the issues appear when we really try to put that into operation! There are a lot of stumbling blocks in the real world aren't there?! The only method which clearly delivered for me is wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a limited number of free trials remaining, it was highlighted in Fox News and CNN. I melted away twenty five pounds, it clearly does produce results!

swap out brown rice or quinoa yes even the new super food which both add up to about 220 calories per cup for cauliflower or roasted peppers that are only about 30 calories per cup

You are plateauing as your body adjusts. You will continue to lose wait after the plateau. It's perfectly normal.

    try reducing your diet again.

i would recommend though that you do more exercise.

or go back to your Dr for a review and tell them what has happened and follow their advice.
